A Week in Farm Photos July 13th - 19th

Whether you live on a 1/4 acre or 100 acres, whether you raise a whole barnyard of animals or just a small backyard flock, whether your 'garden' is a 6-acre field or a single pot on your kitchen windowsill, you should feel a sense of pride in everything you grow, and raise or nurture.  I love putting together this post each Saturday evening, because collecting photos all week to share makes me stop and appreciate my surroundings and the beauty that is everywhere ... if you just take the time to look.

I would love for you to join me here...

  1. What beautiful photos! I think my favorite this week is the snuggling ducks! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures

  2. Thank you Marci. Those two little buggers tho. Mamma duck kept getting off the nest because she knew it was too hot with her sitting - last week we had a few days approach 100, so with her body heat, the eggs would have overheated. So she would cover them up with straw and go outside, leaving them perfectly fine as is. Well, those two ducks kept hopping on the nest and BOTH sitting on the eggs. None of which hatched. I have a sneaking suspicion that the heat killed the embryos. But I agree - they WERE super cute while they were doing it!

  3. I love all of your garden pictures. Very nice looking blue eggs!
