A Week in Farm Photos - January 18th - 24th

This abnormally warm winter has resulted in lots of rain (and plenty of mud which makes for happy ducks!) and given me plenty of indoor time to spend knitting and work ion my new book (I can't tell you much about it yet, but I can share one of the photos that I've submitted to the art department - yes, it will include recipes!) Enjoy a peek at our muddy week!

I would love for you to join me here...

  1. Do you use Duckweed or Nyjer seeds? I'm trying to find a distributer for Earlybird 50 Nyjer seed, developed by William C. Van Patton. If you are interested, Google "Gouidian Finch", I believe Mr. Van Patton took the photos.

  2. Lisa, are those pink eggs that are in the nest with the blue and white Light Sussex? I think one of my speckled Sussex lays similar to that color, (maybe a little darker).
