Welcome to my Farm - Snow in April?

Snow in Maine in April isn't unheard of.... sometimes it even snows in May, so seeing flakes falling last week wasn't terribly surprising.

However, snow for two days straight resulting in several inches covering the ground made us start thinking that we skipped right over spring, summer and fall and should start shopping around for a Christmas tree any day!
Of course it melted over the course of the next few days, and was so pretty while it lasted, but honestly, I'm so ready for spring!

Egg production has been strong, the shrubs and trees are budding, the birds are singing and days are longer.

In other news, last Sunday was my birthday, so I spent a few days with my Mom in my hometown in Massachusetts which was nice (and there wasn't any snow there!)

Welcome to my farm!
